The 42nd Parallel Andean Region comprises a group of Chubut locations and also the small town of El Bolsón in Río Negro province. Its beautiful landscape, including its valley dotted with small orchards that produce regional specialities, composes a unique option for tourism in Patagonia. Here, you can enjoy nature while learning about the secrets of organic production of berries, mushrooms, hops, beer, and many other exquisite homemade products. But the network of small farms that cater to tourists is only one of the many attractions of this charming region: The Old Patagonian Express and Butch Cassidy's tracks also await travellers here, as well as a wide menu of outdoor activities, such as fishing, horse riding, trekking, and many more.
Getting here: Travellers can reach this region from the North by Route No. 258 and from the East by Route No. 25 (both paved). There is also a network of provincial roads covering the whole area. In Esquel, the main bus terminal and the airport offer connections to Argentina's greater cities and the samaller towns and locations within the region. Services: You will find lodging and other services throughout the region's
towns and inside the Los Alerces National Park. There are many options,
ranging from Esquel's greater variety (it is the largest city in
the area) to small cabins and fishermen lodges in smaller locations. Information:
